ABOUT US
In 2014, after learning of the many challenges facing the Honeybee, we decided to take action. We started Upbeet Farms with four hives, but quickly grew to twenty hives by our third year. During this time, we fell in love with all things farming. Drawing inspiration from farming icons such as Joel Salatin and John Jeavons, we have found a passion for healing the earth through environmentally-friendly farming practices.
In 2020, we brought chickens onto the farm. With breeds like Whiting True Blue, Whiting Ture Green, and two Black Australorp mixes, we offer an array of blue, green, pink, and brown eggs.
Besides eggs and honey (as well as other products of the hive), we produce small batch Microgreens (including Arugula, Broccoli, and Sunflower), Log grown Shiitake mushrooms, Premium herbs, and have even begun raising Red Worms for vermicomposting.
Our commitment to quality could be described as obsessive, but we believe that anything worth doing, is worth doing right.
We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to participate in this endeavor and for all of the love and support from family and friends that keeps us going.
